Will you be my friend?
Little Nutbrown Hare ventures out into the wide world and comes back with a new companion in this heartwarming sequel to Guess How Much I Love You (1994).
Little Nutbrown Hare hops off to an adventure and is out exploring on his own. Off he hops along the path and through the grass until he reaches Cloudy Mountain, where something extraordinary happens: he discovers a new friend! Now the fun can really begin.
Twenty-five years after we met the Nutbrown Hares, this enchanting new tale about friendship is bound to capture your hearts.
What Wild & Wonder loved about it:
Primarily a lesson in friendship and patience, we love how Will You Be My Friend? highlights the beauty and essential nature of simple play. Too often children are scheduled within an inch of their existence and play is abandoned in search of “more meaningful” activities. But the author McBratney highlights how much simple play can accomplish in simple, unencumbered moments.
Though the McBratney died in September of this year. But as long as the stories of Big and Little Nutbrown Hare are read and reread (they have been translated into fifty-seven languages), we do not have to guess how much we love the man who brought them to life.
